Well Christmas is over for another year and we are in the days between Christmas and new year. Not working this year which is a first for me for many a year. New job, new rules and in my case these days are designated holidays. So here we are and what a Christmas period it has been. On the plus side..we had a wonderful Christmas family meal, 16 of us around a large table each bringing something to the meal, followed by family fun. Some stooped, dome played with Lego, others played on video games. All finished off with the Dr. Who Christmas special and cheese and biscuits and snack stuff.
Boxing day saw myself and my family visit my mothers and meet up with my brothers and nephews and the yearly game of Trivial Pursuit, must get some up to date questions.
Nice walk in Ecclesall woods on Tuesday. Everybody in a good mood.
On the bad side, the old car broke, clutch gone so not worth fixing. Washing machine and dishwasher broke and needed fixing, the toilet stopped flushing (fixed by self) and now the fridge freezer is not working. Freezer ok, fridge not.
Now its Friday and having just had a normal type meal of fish and chips, contemplating what to do for the rest of the day.
Probably a stroll round the shops.
See you later.

Christmas Day,,,,, 8am,
So its the morning of Christmas, it is telling that now the kids are older (16,14,9), the day starts later. It's 8 am instead of 6, which is nice as I didn't get to bed till 1:30am because of the usual beg prep for today.
8.30 All presents open, (according to grumpy old Christmas that makes us working class as we opened them before lunch ) so now we can have another coffee and wake up a bit.
Usual single present for self, thankyou Ma for the jumper.
Next on the cards, dressed, and to church for the Christmas Day service.

It's christmas time.........
Christmas grating to all, once again we find ourselves on Christmas eve. The day before the day of presents, full stomachs and Dr. Who Christmas special.
It is also the time for frantic preparations in our case for the descent of all the family to our house. 15 in all and it will be as in previous years a fine day.
As in previous years we will do the beg and others will bring starters, meat and pudding to the feast. Thankfully the dishwasher is working so all will be well.
I like Christmas and.look forward to the big day and would like to wish anybody who reads this, best wishes for the season.
Happy Christmas
